Margaret Woollam
Trustee
Meg joined Search as a trustee in April 2016 and takes a lead on communications issues for the board. She previously worked for local authorities in London and Newcastle in social care, equalities, housing and communications. Meg currently works part-time for Healthwatch North Tyneside. Meg is a member of the sub-group that reviews and updates Search policy and procedures for approval by the board.
Linda Woodcock
Trustee
Linda is a local resident of Fenham and is active in a number of Community and Voluntary Sector organisations across Newcastle.
Wendy Dale
Chair
Wendy has been Chair of the Board of Trustees since 2014. She has previously worked for the probation service in the west end of Newcastle.
Ruth Taylor
Vice Chair Ruth Taylor is a senior project worker for the Pendower Good Neighbour project in Benwell. For over 11 years she has been working in the west of Newcastle and is a resident of Benwell. Ruth has been on the Board of Trustee since 2008.
Keith Williamson
Keith is a retired chartered accountant who joined Search as a Treasurer in March 2018. He has decades of experience supporting companies and organisations with their financial needs. He is currently also a Trustee for two other charities in the North East.
Paul Taylor
Trustee
Paul is a Principal Lecturer in the School of Health & Social Care at Teesside University, specialising in the student experience and quality enhancement. Paul became a Trustee in 2017
Marion Talbot
Marion has recently stepped down after seven years as an Newcastle City Councillor representing West Fenham ward. As well as local ward work, Marion was also Vice Chair of Planning and a member of the Audit Committee. She has worked in a variety of jobs in the statutory, voluntary and private sectors and has a range of experience at senior management level. As a ward councillor Marion was involved in supporting initiatives aimed at older people, particularly those who were socially isolated who wanted to be more connected to their communities. She has experience of working at Board level, serving on the Northumbria Probation Trust, The Cyrenians (now Changing Lives) and Your Homes Newcastle.
